Dearest Christian Sister,
I am thankful for your minsitry and have a big question for you and the GiG ministry.
I have been serving as a Community Volunteer Sponsor (CVS) for the Raleigh Correctional Center for Women (RCCW) (a minimal security prison. For the last 4.5 years I have had the most awesome time serving God and His Son by serving women at the RCCW. For those that are eligible to go on “outside” passes, I and five other women at Capital Community Church (CCC), bring women to worship at our church every Sunday..In addition to one on one discipleship and assistance with helping the ladies transition to returning citizenship, our church takes worship service “inside” about 4 times each year. And it is there that we encounter the very lost, those that feel ugly and worthless, desperate for the Savior and for encouragement from a Christian disciple.
Therefore, my reason for writing you and GiG is to ask if there are resources that you could send to our friends at RCCW that would encourage their hearts, point them to Jesus and His only Way. Not all the women at RCCW are of protestant faith (the campus holds a multitude of “faiths”..Muslim, American Indian, Buddism, Wicca, Catholic, and many more…)but there are some that attend our worship services that would be most grateful to recieve a weekly or monthly resource from a women’s ministry…(because they do not have access to computers during their incarceration, it is impossible to send electronic mail)

Hi Gwen – Like you, I kept an abortion secret for years. I know God wants to use my testimony to give others hope. Thank you for helping me realize I can do it! Thank you for sharing your story. As I watched you speak I felt a wonderful hope and peace. I have passed through many struggles and your story helped open my eyes to see that I will find healing and redemption when I too share my story with others. Healing can come in so many ways but the thought of sharing my story with others can seem difficult ( as you stated). However, I can see it will be completely worth it. Your life is a precious example and I long to embolden others and bless their hearts just as you are doing. Thank you for being a faithful and inspring sister in Christ. Words really can’t express how grateful I am to have found a ministry that touches my heart in the most fascinating ways. Many blessings to you and the others and to all your families.
