There always seem to be a million voices vying for my attention. Can you relate? True confessions: I often choose good things instead of the Best thing. Instead of the Best One.
I wish it weren’t the case, but it is. I get easily distracted and frazzled. I never seem to satisfy my to-do list and I struggle with time management. It surprises me continually that God would choose to use a cluttered woman such as me. But His grace abounds. It reaches my most unfocused, unproductive heart places. Grace covers my mess and uncovers His faithfulness.

Gwen here. There is a new lyric video for a song called “Restore” that I wanted to share with you. I co-wrote it with two very talented friends: Sue Smith and Carl Cartee. The song was inspired by Psalm 80, in which the psalmist continually repeats the phrase, “Restore us, O God; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.”
It’s a prayer I continually pray… because I’m in constant need of the grace of God. I’m a total restoration project! And He is a generous God – constantly willing to listen to hearts that are humbled …
The devotion today is about the itchy pest of temptation. In order to be strong when we face temptations, we need God’s help. We are able to resist and refocus when we align our hearts and desires to the heart and will of God. That’s what this song is about. Hope it blesses!
